We, Katariya Steel are one of the leading organizations engaged in manufacturing, supplying, and exporting Stainless Steel 304, 304L Flange to our esteemed clients. In the stainless steel family, UNS S30400 and S30403 are the most versatile and commonly used alloys.
Flanges help to join pipes, valves, fittings, and specialized objects like strainers and pressure vessels together. The low-temperature qualities of Stainless Steel 304 Flanges adapt well to cold working hardening. In a range of conditions and media, it is corrosive resistant. Due to the lack of a weld bevel and the ability to vary the pipe's length about the flange's position, the ASTM A182 F304 slip-on flange is an excellent and straightforward substitute for a weld neck. An environment with chlorides can cause Stainless Steel 304 Flange to be affected by pitting and crevice corrosion. It has good heat resistance but shouldn't be used continuously at 425-860°C. This grade of stainless steel has good machinability, easing the operation of the tool. The tensile strength is at 75 KSI (min) while having a 0.2% yield strength of 42 KSI. A blind flange is a flange without a hub or a drilled center. SS 304L Blind flanges feature the same face type, bolting pattern, and face thickness as flanges.
Although these 304 and 304L are similar in corrosiveness, heat resistance, and machinability, there are slight differences. Two pipes of various sizes can be connected using ANSI B16.5 Reducing Flanges. The maximum carbon content in 304 stainless steel is 0.08 percent, while that of grade 304L stainless steel is 0.03 percent. Hence, Stainless Steel 304L Flange minimizes/eliminates carbide precipitation during the welding process and can be heated into the above temperature range. If a machine is continuously used at 425-860°C, it is recommended to use 304L instead of 304. The tensile strength is 70 KSI (min). ASTM A182 F304 SS socket weld flanges are joined by putting the pipe into the socket end and applying fillet weld around the top. This makes it possible for a smooth bore and increases fluidity. The maximum percentage of nitrogen allowed in the 304L grade is 0.10%. It has a 0.2% yield strength of 35 KSI.
