Grade 200 Nickel alloy clad plates have a nickel content of about 99.00 percent and carbon (C) content of about 0.15 percent in their chemical composition. Alloy grade 201, sheets and plates are resistant to oxidizing atmospheres, corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride salts and attack by non-oxidizing halides and caustic alkalis at various concentrations and temperatures.

Graphite precipitation occurs if grade 200 sheets or coils are exposed to temperatures in the range of 800/1200ºF (425/650ºC). Cold Rolled grade 200 nickel sheets have good weldability and can be welded using conventional processes. 201 Sheets (UNS N02201) has good fabrication and it can be shaped through all hot working and cold working practices. Nickel 200 coils and pipes are good conductors of electricity, they have low vapor pressure and low gas content. Alloy 201 nickel sheets also possess magnetic and mechanical properties.
