Katariya steel is one of the widely trusted manufacturers, distributors, and exporters of Copper Nickel 70/30 Rod Wire. We provide the finest quality of cupronickel alloy products at affordable market rates. CUPRONICKEL 70/30 alloy has 70% copper and 30% nickel in its composition. Copper-nickel alloy 70/30 (UNS C71500) has good corrosion resistance and strength and it can be improved by the addition of manganese, iron, niobium, and or chromium. Alloy grade 70/30 rod has great resistance to sea water-related corrosion due to the presence of significant amounts of manganese and iron. Copper-nickel alloys (UNS C71500) are normally annealed at temperatures between 649 and 816°C (1200 and 1500°F).
Cupronickel alloys have a good cold working capacity and are hot-formed in an extraordinary manner. The soluble nature of nickel in copper provides the copper-nickel alloys with a single-phase alpha structure. The machinability rating of copper-nickel 70/30 alloys is 20% and it also has excellent resistance to erosion. Cupronickel alloy rod wires have a very low magnetic permeability and can be welded using gas shielded arc welding, spot welding, and oxyacetylene welding processes. Temperatures between 927 and 1038°C (1700 and 1900°F) are suitable for forging the 70/30 copper-nickel alloy rod wires. Some of the major applications of copper-nickel alloy rod wire are Hydraulic lines, Seawater pipework, power plants and ships, Pumps, Fish cages for aquaculture, Valves, sheathing, and fittings for ship hulls, etc.
